There's only one SLIM

Spent some time with Slim,of Slim's Fabrication, who is a true friend and brother. He's happy to be working and apprecaites those who keep him busy with builds, fab work and parts.

You see my friends, NONE of us are rock stars, just a bunch of people working day after day to provide the best for our clients and customers. There's no time to get big headed, count your blessings, stay humble and let your customers know you appreciate them.
I thank you for believing in our dreams, supporting us and our friends.
Have a great weekend

Many try, only few succeed

IMG_9391I had a photo-shoot with a racing legend yesterday, the only and only Wink Eller. He’s a land speed record holder, who has accomplished 67 records with 14 still on the books. We received a very impressive shop tour and watched him work on his latest build for Bonneville, hoping to top 224 mph this year. This man has been chasing his racing dream since 17 and I don’t think he will ever stop. I studied him carefully as he worked on the bike, he always seemed to be in deep thought but once we started talking about Bonneville, his face would light up and his eyes would sparkle like a proud parent.  His life motto is “live life everyday because you never know if there will be a tomorrow.” He was born and raised in the hills of NC, you can tell that manners and values have a purpose with Wink and he cherishes his family and friends. It was very humbling to be in his presence.

I love meeting people like Wink and would like to thank him, Dee and the guys for allowing Duane and I to spend quality time with them.
Do me a favor and follow him on Facebook

I had the opportunity to visit Classis Cycles in Orange, Ca for Cycle Source.  If you are looking for a shop that can repair vintage British motorcycles , be sure to check them out. These guys are the real deal and I would like to thank them for their time.

My best mate

IMG_2949

I had to tie down a bike that represented the So- cal scene for this month’s issue of Cycle Source. I had one bike in mind but it was in Japan. So as soon as we set up Duane’s booth, I went to talk to Dean. I was honored and so happy that he said yes. So we rolled the bike out to the street and used all of the hotels as a backdrop.

The hotel in the background is the Yokohama Grand, which is where we stayed.

I really want to thank Dean for giving me the opportunity to shoot his bike.
