We get to visit many new spots while on the road during the rally season. During our recent trek to Az, we stopped at Mel's Diner, the focus for the show Alice. After researching it, we found out that the diner was used in the beginning credits for the show but the series was filmed in Hollywood. When you hit the door, you step back in time, pure 70’s. I could see Mel in the back and Flo choppin on her gum, telling him to “kiss my grits".”
Needless to say, the food resembled the greasy spoon atmosphere but it was still cool to check it out
