The Limpnickie Lot Footprint

limpnickie2011We are proud to announce that for the second year the Limpnickie Lot Footprint will be left with the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida during Daytona Bike Week. The Limpnickie Lot Footprint was created to leave an impression within the rally communities.

We are asking you to stop by the local grocery store and pick up a few extra canned goods to help replenish the bare shelves. You can add your donations to the big red bins located at the Stone Edge Skatepark throughout the week. We will also be accepting cash donations as their state program that allows them to buy it back for a greater amount With the generous donations during last year’s Bike Week, we raised $550.00. We chose to spend the first hundred dollars at the local Food Lion store to add to the bins, which was a total of 140 lbs. of non perishable food.  We then proceeded to write a few checks totaling $450.00 to the Second Harvest Food Bank. “With Second Harvest of Central Florida’s buying power equates to $4050.00 dollars worth of food. That in turn will feed 83 families of four for 4 days. We really appreciate you thinking of us and starting this program. You have made a lot of needy families happy,’ stated Second Harvest operation manager, Bob Thomas

We look forward to a great Bike Week and would like to thank you in advance for your contribution. If you are not heading to Daytona but would love to donate, please go to the Limpnickie Lot blog, http://limpnickie.wordpress.com/ and click the paypal link on the left side panel. 100% of the donations will go to Second Harvest Food Bank

Please share this release.

Thanks

Today is a good day

limpnickie2011 The Limpnickie Lot Footprint was created to have a personal effect on many; the “rally”communities and the motorcycle industry. Basically, everyone wins.  The funds raised on the Limpnickie Lot during Daytona Bike Week, The Big Mountain Run and Sturgis last year fed and clothed the local children, the NEXT GENERATION. In each town that we set up in, we  partnered with local charities, of which 100% of the donations went to them, we took nothing.

If you donated to the food drive in Daytona, you fed  84 families of four days and had fun with Athena and the children from the Boys and Girls Club of Volusia County .The funds raised @ the BMR contributed  to the local volunteer fire dept. In Sturgis, you played baseball with the children on the Pine Ridge Reservation, showed them motorcycles can be fun and that there is a future waiting for them within the industry. When you took part in any of the Cycle Source Magazine/ Limpnickie Lot Footprint events last year, you received a gift as well. You got to step away from the booth and rally, ride your motorcycle and inspired people along the way .

I just received the final approval from Second Harvest that the LOT Food Drive will be happening during Daytona Bike Week again this year.- details soon. I also received a call from my buddy Bean’re today, he had a awesome idea for the Footprint and we are getting ready to launch something very cool for Sturgis that will benefit the kids again! -details soon.

I have also crossed paths with Melissa and she has great things in the works that would benefit the people in POLK County, where the BMR takes place. Our focus needs to come back home and take care of our own.

A good idea can only grow when you have great people that donate their time to make it possible. All links will be created once all sites are up to date. My experience is creating social media, I leave the website building process to the masters. We have someone on each development as we speak that have donated their time.

I would like to thank you for making last year possible and look forward to this year’s progress

Thanks for your time and have a great weekend,

peace and love,

Lisa

Join us once and you will understand the value of the footprint

I have helped Chris Callen incorporate the Limpnickie Lot Gives Back Program for the Limpnickie Lot. The concept is easy, at every rally that the Lot goes to, we leave a impression- footprint- with an organization of our choice. In Daytona is was a food drive and in Sturgis , it was spending some quality time with children on a reservation. It doesn’t have to bring in high dollars,( that would be nice) just giving back means more to the community, knowing that the next generation cares enough to reach out.

The biggest reward that I have witness is everyone that takes part of our events, goes home with a open heart. We all know the rallies can be draining, so this is a way to step away from the scene and get back down to basics. The word awesome gets thrown around a lot. We all need a break once and awhile, why not during a rally?

We all can leave our own footprint, mine is left weekly at our neighborhood recycling center. I collect all of our plastic and take it to the Earth Wize Center. I have asked the workers if they could hold my bags for a family or person that they would know needs the extra money. I am not supporting the local homeless drunk but if he needs a meal, maybe my bags can help him out for the day.  It is not much, but if more people start doing something small with-in their community, the world would be a better place. I know many will said BS but in my heart , I know we can make a difference.

I would like to thank the Limpnickie Lot crew for accepting this challenge and seeing it thru.

Our first ever food drive for the Limpnickie Lot was a huge success in Daytona Beach! We donated a grand total of $550.00 to the Second Harvest Food Bank.

We chose to spend the first hundred dollars at the local Food Loin store to add to the bins, which was a total of 140 lbs of non perishable food. We then proceeded to write a few checks totaling $450.00 to the Second Harvest Food Bank.

Again thank you so much and we hopefully will see you for biketoberfest.”
