Weekend bliss

Woke up at the crack o dawn on Friday for a quick run to Phoenix.. Crossing the desert is long and boring but with Duane's music, it goes by pretty quick .

  Welcome to AZ!

I have wanted to visit Love Cycles for awhile and was stoked to get the chance on this trip.

Big thanks to Duane's mom for letting us crash at the house.

This is Shirley, our newest family member :-)
Hope you had a great weekend!

Rose Bowl Flea Market

Started off early to beat the crowd and rising heat. By 11:00, the place was packed and it was hotter than hell.

 Mom, remember these????

Looks like my grandmother's kitchen

Found many helmets through out the market.

Ding Dongs were our Ring Dings growing up.

Love this set

I remember these glasses, maybe at Nana's campsite?

What color do you need?

Seen a bike or two

Mickey, spin that shit!

Come on Get Happy

Biggest turn off was the camera crews following around some guys trying to the next picker. There was only one American Picker seen that day and Danielle Colby looked lovely.
Big thanks to Cindy and Duane for the great day!
I will post the rest of the photos on Facebook

Born Free

What a great event!

We arrived early to finish setting up the booth and I spent time shooting the Builders bikes. The booth was non stop from opening to close so Duane and I couldn't get out to explore. Big thanks to Maria, Kailyn and Steve for helping me capture the rest of the day, love you!
I am grateful for the support that we received yesterday. It's very humbling to hear the accolades for my husband's work and talent. We had many leather crafters come to the booth to meet Duane. To be honest, this whole journey is very surreal , I never thought he would go this far with a set of tools and a hammer.
Mike and Grant, job well done and we hope there's a Born Free 5. The motorcycle scene needs this event to keep going.

Congratulations to Matt Olsen for winning the trip to Japan.
Congratulations to Caleb for the Best of Show win. I think I called this at 7 am :-)

I'll be editing my photos for an upcoming feature but will be sharing some here and on Duane's blog. Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out our facebook page.

Joyrides Art Company

IMG_4918

Leaving Salinas on Saturday night gave us the opportunity to check out the DePelma Art Show at the Lab. I’m a big fan of Mark Kawakami’s work and was stoked to see it up close.

Road tripping

IMG_4207

The best part of going to events is the journey. I love the scenery in California and traveling on unfamiliar roads with my husband and McGoo.

This is the intersection where James Dean passed away.

Bring on the weekend

This weekend is jam packed!!

We are heading to the Big 3 Parts Exchange in a couple of hours. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes as this swap is massive!

The 46th annual antique and collector car parts exchange and swap meet will be held at Qualcomm (old Jack Murphy) Stadium all weekend.   There is no charge to the general public to attend this event, however, there is a stadium parking fee. They are open from 12 noon to 4PM today, 8AM to 4PM Saturday and 8AM to 12PM Sunday. Hope to see you there!

If you are looking for great art, be sure to check out Sara Ray’s work at the Hot Rods and Zombies Car and Art show. It’s taken place on Saturday at the Club Center, 217 E. Club Center Dr., #C, San Bernardino, CA 92408

Be sure to hit the Long Beach Swap Meet  on Sunday. Stop by the booth as we’ll have some bike parts for sale.  We are in spot 702, instead of our normal spot E10.

Hope you have a great weekend!
